the golden globes

I worked with Elizabeth McGovern from Downtown Abbey for the Globes.    I love her!!   She makes everything fun and is very laid back.  She was shocked at the amount of free crap they give you at the globes.    They even have vacations that they give away.  She sent me off with a great pair of fur lined moccassins ;))  She wanted a retro-porcelain 40's look for the awards and likes very fresh barely there makeup. Here is what I used.......
*Caudelie moisturizer
*Smashbox primer
*Armani silk foundation #4
*used the ever present "beauty blender" sponge
*Laura Mercier "star powder"
*MAC blush (it was bright orange)
*MAC Brun in brows (just a bit she likes em FULL)
*Bobbi Brown gel liner black
*Dior iconic waterproof curling mascara (a ton)
*loads and loads of knot free lashes in short and medium
*Nars Jungle Red lipstick
Here she is at the Bafta Tea

CHRISTINA RICCI DOES THE COVER OF OYSTER MAGAZINE

Hey friends.......so it has begun.   I have been goaded and harassed into embracing modern media.  So here it is, my first blog post.  My goal with this blog is to give some insight into what its like to do the job I'm so privileged to do as well as some product reviews and tips.

I have the priviledge of working with Christina Ricci now and again.  She is gorgeous, really super smart and has a wicked- wicked sense of humor.  She is actually really talented at doing her own makeup and I have learned alot from her.  As time goes I will try to share some of her makeup wisdom in later posts.  This shoot was all about a rebellious 60's sensibility, undone makeup and lashes.  The guy who showed up with the cool bike was so dashing......
